Kent welcome Northamptonshire to the St Lawrence Ground tomorrow after an unbeaten start in all competitions.

Matt Coles returns to the 12 man squad named by coach Jimmy Adams after taking six wickets for England Lions against the West Indies last week.

He replaceds Ivan Thomas, while Azhar Mahmood is still unavailable while he plays in the IPL with the Kings XI Punjab, and Ashley Shaw is still recovering from a shiny injury.

Kent have picked up four rain-affected draws, and one win, which came against Northants earlier this season, leaving them third, nine points behind leaders Derbyshire.

Northants are seventh after winning just one of their opening games, leaving them 17 points behind Kent.

The full squad is:

Rob Key

Scott Newman

Ben Harmison

Brendan Nash

Mike Powell

Darren Stevens
