Film bosses shooting a major new motion picture are holding open auditions for extras this weekend.

The feature film is Tulip Fever which features the likes of Dane DeHaan, who portrayed the Green Goblin in the Amazing Spider-Man 2, and Christoph Waltz, whose credits include Django Unchained and the Muppets Most Wanted.

Tulip Fever, produced by Ruby Films which was behind The Other Boleyn Girl and Jane Eyre, is a 17th century love story directed by Justin Chadwick who previously directed Mandela: Lond Walk to Freedom.

Casting company Uni-versalEXTRAS are looking for males and females aged between 17 to 100 to take part with open auditions taking place at MidKent College’s Gillingham campus in Medway Road between 10am and 4pm this Saturday, April 26.

Filming will take place in Rochester and Tilbury, in Essex, on various dates throughout June and July.

A spokesman for the casting firm said: “This production has a number of roles for males with facial hair, so if you can grow your facial hair in advance of the casting this will be an advantage.

“What happens at the casting? You will be asked to provide some basic information about yourself before we take your costume measurements and photos so that we can cast you in a suitable role within the production.”

Uni-versalEXTRAS is an established extras agency based at Pinewood Film Studios which supplies extras and supporting artistes across the UK for film and TV.
